About Me

My name is Dan, and I’m a forty-something man with a passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I’ve been a believer in Christ since my teens, and since then I have had a strong interest in apologetics (the defense of the faith), theology and philosophy.  I’m not a pastor or a trained theologian, but I have taken a few seminary classes and studied a lot on my own.  In fact, thinking about and discussing the tough questions about and objections to the Christian worldview are my favorite things to do.  Not only are such discussions always interesting, but the conclusions we draw regarding them are of eternal value.  So, there is nothing more valuable that anyone could possibly talk about, and that will be a large part of the theme of this blog.

Also, several years ago I attended an evangelism boot camp in southern California called the Ambassador’s Academy.  Although I had been a believer for many years, this training dramatically changed my life, and ignited a strong desire and call to public evangelism.  Sharing the gospel in public, something I had little or no desire for before, became my greatest joy.  I regularly pass out tracts and talk to people, carry a cross, and open-air preach.  I pray that this blog will also encourage other Christian believers in this area.  For those of you who are believers who may say “That’s not my gift”, like I used to, that may be the case.  Then again, it may not.  I encourage you to step out in faith to share the gospel in public.  If you are too scared to do so yourself, contact me.  If you’re not local, I have quite a few contacts around the country, and there is a good chance that I could get you in touch with someone in your area.  You may be surprised what God does with you when you do.

When I’m not sharing the gospel, I have a regular job, working in the private security industry.  I manage the security department at a major shopping mall.  I have been married to my lovely wife Becky for just over 15 years, and we have two daughters.  Naomi is 12 and Melody is 6.  I am very involved in my church, Life Church of Silicon Valley, where I serve as member of the church council and the worship team, and occasionally teach evangelism as well.  As far as personal interests, they are pretty much focused on public evangelism, although I also enjoy music and reading when I get a chance.

Below I have posted pictures and videos from a number of projects and outreaches I have been involved in.  If you are a believer in Christ, I hope they will be an encouragement to you to step out of your comfort zone and share your faith.  Only a few years ago I had trouble even handing a tract to someone, and had no desire to be a street evangelist, much less an open-air preacher.  It is ONLY by his grace and by the power of His Spirit that I am able to do what I do. Believe me, if He can use me in the ways He has, He can use you as well.  And what an incredible privilege it is to be used by God for His work!!
